What You Need to Know
- European (French) wheel 37 pockets (0–36).
- American roulette wheel has 38 pockets (00,0-36)
- Inside bets = single numbers or small groups (all numbers on the board).
- Outside bets = larger number groups (easier, but lower payouts)(red/black, even/odd, dozens/columns).
- The racetrack lets you place special wheel-based bets quickly.
- Some tables switch wheel and ball direction each spin.
How a Round Works
- Bets close once “No More Bets” is displayed, place your chips on any bet you like (Table minimum must be met).
- Dealer spins the wheel and ball.
- Spin counts only if the ball makes enough revolutions (refer to table rules for revolution count).
- Ball lands, winning number is announced.
- Casino pays out the winning bets according to the odds within the specific table.
- Racetrack bets use preset chip patterns to cover specific wheel sections.
Section Bets
Voisin du Zéro (Neighbours of Zero)
- Covers the big chunk of numbers around zero.
- Uses 9 chips placed in a set pattern.
- Good if you want broad coverage around the 0 area.
Zero Game (0 Spiel)
- A smaller, tighter version of Voisins.
- Uses 4 chips.
- Focuses directly on the numbers closest to zero.
Orphelins (Orphans)
- Covers the numbers not in Voisins or Tiers.
- Uses 5 chips.
- Split between two-wheel sections opposite each other.
Tiers du Cylindre (Tiers)
- Covers the section opposite the zero area.
- Uses 6 split bets covering 12 numbers.
- A simple “half-wheel” style bet.
Neighbours
- Neighbour bets cover a chosen number and the numbers immediately next to it on the roulette wheel.
- Bets can include 2, 3, 5, 7, or more numbers (depending on house rules), with equal chips placed on each. This allows players to target a specific sector of the wheel while increasing their chances of winning.
- Roulette multipliers only count if the bet is made on straight up number bets. This does not apply for corners, split, etc.
